This is one of those places that you don’t really want to write about, because as soon as you do you just wont be able to get a seat.
Bi Bim Bap is a tiny Korean restaurant just off Tottenham Court Road i.e. perfect for a pre-theatre treat or post museum feast. And who would have thunk it, the dish that keeps me coming back to Bi Bim Bap is their bibimbap.
It is a classic Korean dish – rice topped with julienned cucumber, daikon, bean sprouts, spinach, carrots and mooli. All topped with a raw egg and served in a crazy-hot stone bowl so it cooks right at the table. I normally go for a raw beef mince bibimbap, but at this fine establishment you just have to go for the ‘Specially marinated beef strips’…tasty to the extreme.
Best bit is that the mains are under £10.
Go, and stuff your face.
