Hark back to my not too distant past. Sitting in a corporate boardroom surrounded by men in suits. The topic for discussion was university subjects that turned out to be surprisingly useful in the real world.
As we went round the room, people mentioned Mandarin, calculus, biomed, property and engineering. When it got to me, all I could talk about was New Caledonian crows (studied as part of my Psychology degree). If you were ever wondering why I gave up my career as a tax consultant, feel free to take this as a turning point.
Even if we ignore this awkward boardroom exchange, crows are pretty cool. They are chimp smart. Watch the video above and maybe next time I will have someone to talk crows with.
